Six years on from our 2010 Jubilee we are working to update our website. Expired links and outdated information is being removed or updated and material, not published at the time, added. Two years on from our 125 Jubilee celebrations in 2010 our jubilee web address kwtjubilee.co.nz, which began life on the 7th of August 2009, is to cease operating. In 30 days time, on the 7th of August 2012, after three years of service and 10,000 individual page views kwtjubilee.co.nz will close down.

But not all is not lost as our website will remain online as kwtjubilee.wordpress.com. An electronic copy of our website has been made and archived with both Whitehall and Karapiro Schools. Bookmark our new address or remember that if you forget the address you can always go to the Karapiro School website where you will find the new link on the front page.

KWTJubilee chair Kevin Roigard signs off Deb Robinson‘s minutes of the Karapiro, Whitehall, Taotaoroa & Karapiro Hydro Schools 125th Jubilee committee’s 22nd, and final, meeting. Those of us involved in the 20 month long project to plan for, and stage, the 24 – 26 September 2010 event met this evening, Monday, the 29th of November 2010 for a celebratory final meeting at Karapiro School. Our 21st! The KWTJubilee Committee will meet at Karapiro School next Tuesday night the 26th of October 2010 at 7PM to tie up any loose ends. Receive reports and attend to any final details. All welcome.

the jubilee was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate both past and present education in the district. Our current students played an important part in the celebrations and enjoyed hearing the stories of those who shared their school all of those years ago.
The ‘official’ KWT Jubilee photos are being uploaded here. This will take a day or so. If you see an omission or mistake please email me. Those who ordered with registration or on the day should receive their photos late next week. Once I have everything uploaded I will put a form in place for new orders.
Made from 86 individual self portraits of current students at Whitehall and Karapiro Schools this unique decoration added a special touch to our very yummy jubilee cake. These two photos feature a small selection of cake surround.
